When root canal therapy (also called endodontics) is performed a tooth, much time and attention is given to locating all of the canal orifices. When a microscope is used to help locate these orifices, visualization is improved.

Patient comfort is extremely important to us, and we know the anxiety that patients can have right before receiving an injection. DentalVibe is a technology that we use that creates mild vibrations to override the pain sensation that is typically felt during an injection.

Ample lighting can make a world of difference when working in a small dark area such as the mouth. We have a large surgical light that illuminates the oral cavity to improve visualization while working.

The techniques for completing a root canal procedure have improved over time with an increased focus on patient comfort and more predictable results. We use rotary instrumentation when we complete root canal therapy, a proven, more effective method for cleaning and shaping the canals inside the teeth.

AED stands for “Automated External Defibrillator”, and is a portable device that is critical if we were to have an emergency in the office. An AED makes it possible for us to respond to a medical emergency where defibrillation is required, in conjunction with CPR and activation of EMS.

For certain procedures, it is important for us to continuously monitor your temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and blood oxygen and carbon dioxide saturation. Our monitor displays your vitals as we are working so we can focus on providing high quality treatment while making sure that you are safe.
